IDC projections suggest Apple may launch only three iPhone models in 2026, potentially delaying the base model and the next iPhone Air to 2027. The shift would break the four-model pattern Apple has followed since 2020. Reports also hint that one of the three releases could be the long-rumoured iPhone Fold. Shipments are expected to dip in 2026 before rebounding the following year.
