Google is reportedly experimenting with direct Flipkart purchases through Gemini and AI Mode in India. A limited group of users can reportedly see a Buy button on selected Flipkart listings, which leads to a Flipkart-branded checkout flow. The trial covers categories such as smartphones, electronics and mobile accessories and could expand later in October. The reported integration differs from Google’s planned UCP-based checkout approach and comes as the company develops agentic shopping features. The test could also coincide with Flipkart’s Big Billion Days Sale 2026.
